Paddling seated, kayak style
The standard rental board is a hybrid kayak-paddleboard, which you can paddle seated, kayak style, or standing. Hard boards are also available on request at the same price. Ask at the shop when you pick it up if you want yours set up for sitting.

A kayak rental is $35 for 2 hours or $50 for 4 hours.
Every rental includes the same gear, and there's no deposit. We keep a card on file and may charge it for the value of the board if needed.

Who can rent
Renters must be 18 or older. Anyone under 18 needs to be with an adult, and riders must be at least 12. The weight limit is 275 lbs per board.
Rental hours
The last rental goes out 3 hours before we close, and boards are due back 1 hour before closing. Hours change by season, so call ahead to confirm today's hours and board availability.
Where to paddle
Stay within North Portland Harbor for the whole trip. Head upriver first, so the current helps bring you back to the dock instead of working against you on the way home.
Sign the waiver, then pick up your kayak
Every renter signs a waiver at the shop before heading out. Scan the QR code on the flyer at the shop to sign it.
Parking and pickup
Park at 12050 N Jantzen Dr, the Navigator Coffee lot. Walk down to the floating dock at 12010 N Jantzen Dr, the green building with yellow trim, to pick up your kayak.
